I've been writing spicy fiction under this name for years, though everything currently lives in a drawer while it waits for the rewrites it deserves. I write considerably less spicy stuff (read that as zero spice. Nada. Zilch.) under a different pen name. There’s two sides to every coin, and my sides are closed-door and door-wide-open.

These days, I write from a home on the Pacific coast of Panama, where my office window looks out over the ocean, iguanas wander past like they own the place, and bugs exist in quantities I choose not to count. Occasionally, on the very best days, a sloth crosses the lane outside. I planned this life for year, and it’s finally here. I’m deeply grateful.

My writing partner is JB, a 13-pound rescued Pug-mix who arrives full of morning ambition and is back in bed within the hour, having claimed the chair beside mine as her napping headquarters.

My husband of 28 years is my number-one fan in everything, not just writing. He shows up in almost every book I write, sometimes as a character, sometimes as a borrowed phrase or a joke only we'd recognize. He genuinely loves a particular scene in The Bright Omega (coming Summer 2026) involving five men all named Doug, and readers should absolutely try to figure out which one is his.

I work out to stay sane, live on carbs for everyone else's safety, and have very strong feelings about food touching on a plate. I also once won a hula hoop competition at the age of 21 and I'm keeping that on my résumé indefinitely.
